W dniach od 17 do 21 maja 2021 roku zaplanowano przeprowadzenie ćwiczenia RENEGADE-SAREX-21 z wykorzystaniem systemów alarmowania. W ramach ćwiczenia w dniu 20 maja br. na terenie Barlinka mogą zostać włączone syreny alarmowe Termin uruchomienia syren przewidziano w godz. 8.00 – 11.00. w celu sprawdzenia systemu wykrywania i ostrzegania ludności na wypadek zagrożenia.
